LAHORE: Punjab reported 234 confirmed cases of dengue and 477 of Covid during the last 24 hours.
Of the new dengue cases, 153 patients alone were reported from Lahore, 52 from Rawalpindi, five each from Attock and Multan, three each from Gujranwala and Muzaffargarh, two each from Sheikhupura, Sargodha and Nankana whereas one each from Kasur, Sialkot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Mianwali, Pakpattan and Layyah, respectively.
According to the official data released on Monday, the Covid claimed the lives of 13 patients during the same persiod.
Of the new positive cases, it said, 257 were reported in Lahore, 35 in Rawalpindi, 17 in Attock and Multan, 15 in Faisalabad, 12 each in Okara, Khanewal and Mianwali, 11 in Sheikhupura, nine in Pakpattan, eight each in Bhakkar and Gujranwala, seven each in Sargodha, Sahiwal and Sialkot, five each in Bahawalpur, Mandi Bahauddin, Rahim Yar Khan and Toba Tek Singh, four in Kasur, while three each in Lodhran, Muzafargarh, Lodhran and Nankana Sahib.
The official data said the positivity rate of Covid was recorded 2.4 per cent in Punjab, while it was 4.5pc in Lahore, 3.5pc in Rawalpindi, 4.5pc in Faisalabad, 2.5pc in Multan and 0.8pc in Gujranwala.
